Understanding time frames and PA #FX #trading

---

Trying to short audusd this morning as further downside is anticipated (by ME anyway! LMAO)

Here's a look at the 15 minute chart..

You can see here that we are below all three QUAD tunnels, a bearish indication, and have just tested the 13 EMA (white dotted line). Also my TRIX indicator is below the solid green zero line, also indicating possible / likely bearishness.

Click for larger image

When we switch to the 5 minute time frame we see price consolidation and a likely stop hunting spike. But why did it stop at 1.0377?

Click for larger image

Lets take a look at the one minute chart at the same point of the move..

Here we can clearly see that the "spike higher" tested the upper limit of the m1 tunnel structure and, and least thus far, seems to have failed that test though consolidation in this area continues.

Click for larger image

Based on this setup 1.0383 appears to be a reasonable beginning stop loss.

Smallest "tunnel" is constructed of EMAs 121, 144, 169 & 196. Larger tunnels are multiples of 4.

I have heard people say "pick one time frame and stick with it".

I strongly disagree.. IMHO one should try to be well aware of PA in as many time frames as possible.. Scan all of themin an effort to get a clearer overall view of the current market situation.

Many pips and good luck everyone!

Student Loans For Kindergarten, High School On The Rise

---

Don't you SEE that the elite, the politicians, the corporations, the plutocracy, USE the things dear to us to make insane profit?!

Health care costs and education costs are very late stage huge BUBBLES that MUST burst!

"They" want ALL of your fiat from kindergarten through the end of your life. If you have anything left at the end of your life doctor's, hospitals and nursing homes will quickly relieve you of it!

---

As if the student loan debt burden wasn't troubling enough, some parents are saying, "Bring on the debt!"... even though their kids haven't even learned to read.

That's right: cash-strapped parents who want to send their young ones to private schools are taking out loans to pay for grade school, according to SmartMoney. And demand is growing.

Your Tuition Solution, one of the largest providers of loans for K-12 education, reported that the amount of money parents requested is up 10 percent from last year, and that the company is on track to finance $20 million in loans for the 2012-2013 school year, SmartMoney reports. Demand is increasing fast enough that First Marblehead, another pre-college lender, has returned to the market after exiting it in 2008, according to SmartMoney.

As more parents turn to loans to finance private education, school tuition is increasing, furthering the demand for the loans. Over the past 10 years, the median price of first grade at private schools has increased 35 percent nationally, as compared to a 24 percent price hike at Ivy League colleges, according to the New York Times.

Ten years ago, the median tuition for 12th grade at a private school was $14,583. Today, that number has skyrocketed to $24,240, according to the National Association of Independent Schools. Stunningly, in New York City, some of the city's most elite private high schools are poised to break the $40,000 tuition line this year, surpassing Harvard's $36,305 price tag, reports the New York Times.

The tuitions are "outrageous," said Dana Haddad, a private admissions consultant, in an interview with the New York Times. "People don't want to put a price tag on their children's future, so they are willing to pay more than many of them can afford."

It's a dangerous gamble, as Americans are already struggling under mounting student loan debt. Last week, officials at the Consumer Financial Protection Agency announced that total student debt outstanding is now more than $1 trillion. Student debt is rising not only because of a commiserate increase in tuition, but also because in recent years more Americans have turned to college to flee the lousy labor market, reports the Wall Street Journal.

But with that debt comes sacrifices, explained Rohit Chopra, student-loan ombudsman for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, at a banking conference in Austin. "First-time homebuyers are a substantial part of the housing market. Instead of saving for a down payment, these borrowers are sending big [student loan] payments every month."

Structural Unemployment

March 28, 2012
Column: Unemployment is the problem that won't go away
Dale McFeatters

The United States may soon face a problem that has bedeviled Europe's industrialized nations — endemic and chronic unemployment — and the nation's leaders are making little effort to prepare for it.

Surveying the platforms of the presidential hopefuls, Scripps Howard News Service reporter Bartholomew Sullivan wrote that none "addresses the prospect of permanent unemployment for a class of often middle-aged, semi-skilled workers whose jobs have disappeared and are unlikely to return."

And, he found, there is a real dearth of entry-level jobs with the prospect of advancement.

In other words, some American adults may never again enjoy meaningful employment, with very little in the way of a social safety net for able-bodied adults.

Unemployment benefits have been repeatedly extended and expanded — 10 times since 2008 — up to a maximum of 99 weeks in some hard-hit states. But Congress has been losing its enthusiasm for further extensions and in February voted to gradually begin scaling back the duration of the benefits.

A General Accountability Office study last month found that less than 3 percent of those who exhausted their benefits in 2009 were eligible for a major safety net program — Temporary Assistance to Needy Families — because most were too old to have dependent children. About 21 percent found their way onto a Social Security program but, as Sullivan points out, these programs were never intended as safety nets "for the able-bodied formerly employed."

Historically, the United States has relied on robust economic recoveries to resolve unemployment. But while the economy is now in a recovery that shows every evidence of getting stronger, many of the jobless are being left behind.

Some 5.1 million of them today have been out of work six months or longer; 8.1 million can only find part-time work; and at least another 1 million have quit looking altogether.

Many labor analysts, as Sullivan finds, believe the U.S. is entering a period of structural unemployment: Workers, especially older ones, don't have the skills that employers want; or the industries in which they've spent their careers have disappeared or relocated. Thanks to the productivity gains from automation, there's not enough work to go around.

The nation's leadership seems philosophical about, even resigned to, periodic bouts of severe joblessness.

In 1972, both Republican and Democratic political platforms endorsed full employment, a job for everyone willing to take one. By 1992, those planks had disappeared. While the Obama administration has endorsed some tightly targeted employment programs, there is no appetite at either end of Pennsylvania Avenue for the kind of massive public works projects that sustained employment during the Depression.

We may indeed be looking a lot more like Europe but not in the way anybody wants.

Dale McFeatters writes for the Scripps Howard News Service.

Yes, size does matter.. #FX #trading #truth

---

I know there are a lot of people out there who found themselves unemployed, saw a commercial on forex trading on TV and decided to give it a try..

Many of these people, and others as well, hope to use forex trading for such noble causes as putting food on the table and paying bills.

But to be brutally honest if you have $5,000.00 or less in your account you will find it virtually impossible to make a living.. And if you do not fully understand leverage you will very likely lose everything that you invest.

Sorry..

My recommendation to you if you have $5,000.00 or less in your account is to trade ONLY microlots. That is virtually the only way to have a chance of being consistently profitable because it allows you to realistically control your risk.

A microlot controls $1,000.00 worth of currency. If you have a $5,000.00 account you can have up to 5 microlots open at a time and still remain "leverage free".

Work hard at becoming a successful trader before increasing your risk exposure. Trust me on this.. If you cannot make money when trading microlots then you will not be able to make money trading standard lots.

The painfully obvious drawback of trading microlots is that, even if successful, you will find it difficult to make enough money to cover the everyday expenses of life on this planet.

I mean say you have a great week such as +400 pips? At a dime p/pip, which is what a microlot is, you just made yourself a whopping $40.00 in profit.. I doubt that will cover many of the bills you find yourself faced with.

So you go full in on every trade, yet use no leverage, you would have $40.00 x 5 which = $200.00. Better but I promise you it's VERY difficult to average +400 pips p/week consistently, week in and week out. And I doubt that even $200.00 a week would pay the bills you hope to pay..

Use your small account to "learn to trade". When / if you become consistently profitable the best thing to do at that point is to fully fund your account. If you have been trading 0.10 p/pip on $5,000.00 then you need $50,000.00 in your account to be able to trade with the same risk profile. This is very important!

Once you have adequately funded your account to handle $1.00 p/pip trades that $200.00 week becomes a $2,000.00 week and THAT will pay a few bills ;)

I have learned, after blowing up my first two accounts, thousands of dollars, to watch my leverage very closely! Seldom will I ever be leveraged more than say 3 or 4 to 1. I begin to get uncomfortable much beyond that. At 10 to 1 or higher you are just begging for disaster to strike.

If you do not control your risk you are only gambling and you will lose.

Be safe and protect your capital or you will no longer be able to play at all.

Good luck everyone! I wish you the best and great trading success! I also wish that was all it takes ;)

A Prophecy Against Babylon

---

1 A prophecy against Babylon that Isaiah son of Amoz saw:
2 Raise a banner on a bare hilltop,
shout to them;
beckon to them
to enter the gates of the nobles.
3 I have commanded those I prepared for battle;
I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath—
those who rejoice in my triumph.

4 Listen, a noise on the mountains,
like that of a great multitude!
Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms,
like nations massing together!
The LORD Almighty is mustering
an army for war.
5 They come from faraway lands,
from the ends of the heavens
the LORD and the weapons of his wrath—
to destroy the whole country.

6 Wail, for the day of the LORD is near;
it will come like destruction from the Almighty.[a]
7 Because of this, all hands will go limp,
every heart will melt with fear.
8 Terror will seize them,
pain and anguish will grip them;
they will writhe like a woman in labor.

They will look aghast at each other,
their faces aflame.

9 See, the day of the LORD is coming
—a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger—
to make the land desolate
and destroy the sinners within it.

10 The stars of heaven and their constellations
will not show their light.
The rising sun will be darkened
and the moon will not give its light.

11 I will punish the world for its evil,
the wicked for their sins.

I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty
and will humble the pride of the ruthless.

12 I will make people scarcer than pure gold,
more rare than the gold of Ophir.

13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;
and the earth will shake from its place
at the wrath of the LORD Almighty,
in the day of his burning anger.

14 Like a hunted gazelle,
like sheep without a shepherd,
they will all return to their own people,
they will flee to their native land.
15 Whoever is captured will be thrust through;
all who are caught will fall by the sword.
16 Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes;
their houses will be looted and their wives violated.

17 See, I will stir up against them the Medes,
who do not care for silver
and have no delight in gold.
18 Their bows will strike down the young men;
they will have no mercy on infants,
nor will they look with compassion on children.

19 Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms,
the pride and glory of the Babylonians,[b]
will be overthrown by God
like Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 She will never be inhabited
or lived in through all generations;
there no nomads will pitch their tents,
there no shepherds will rest their flocks.
21 But desert creatures will lie there,
jackals will fill her houses;
there the owls will dwell,
and there the wild goats will leap about.
22 Hyenas will inhabit her strongholds,
jackals her luxurious palaces.
Her time is at hand,
and her days will not be prolonged.

10 Signs That America Is On The Verge Of A Horrible Municipal Debt Crisis

10 Signs That America Is On The Verge Of A Horrible Municipal Debt Crisis

Is America on the verge of a horrible municipal debt crisis? Unfortunately, the answer is yes. From coast to coast there are an increasing number of cities, towns and counties that are rapidly going broke. Financial analyst Meredith Whitney took a lot of heat when her prediction of a municipal bond crash in 2011 did not happen, but she was not fundamentally wrong in her analysis. A horrifying municipal debt crisis is starting to unfold right in front of our eyes. It just did not happen as soon as she thought that it would. When most Americans think of our "debt problem", they think of the federal government. But the truth is that we have hundreds and hundreds of smaller "debt problems" all across the country. In 2012, cities such as Stockton, California and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania have already defaulted and a whole bunch of other cities and towns are headed down the exact same path. Once we see the first major wave of municipal defaults, creditors will become much tighter with their money and that will cause even more municipalities to get into financial trouble. This crisis could start spinning out of control at any time.

The frightening thing is that all of this is happening at a time when we are supposed to be having an "economic recovery".

So what will things look like when the economy gets even worse than this?

If hundreds of cities, towns and counties are barely able to keep their heads above water financially right now, what is going to happen when the next recession hits?

That is frightening to think about.

The following are 10 signs that America is on the verge of a horrible municipal debt crisis....

Usury Lament and UsuryFree Option

By Tom J. Kennedy

The flaw of usury was designed to steal
Your property and the money that you earn.

Lies, deceit and deception are keys to this unscrupulous deal.
Your mortgage, personal and auto loans you’ll learn
Are backed by your collateral, indeed you risk a lot.

While the bankers risks so little, ‘cause with blue ink he simply pens
The amount of principal to create, BUT the usury he does NOT.

In this way, the banker steals money that he never lends.

It’s true that banking corporations are a legal invention
Created by the rich to prey upon the poor.

With qualities and powers not even in possession
Of any free will, flesh and blood man, that’s for sure.

There is now a collective will to take back the powers
As we-the-people confront the usury banking economy
We are creating a usuryfree option that trades hours
Empowering we-the-people, locally, nationally and globally.

I love this game..

---

I bought it a long time ago & played it all the way through on the "Very Clever" setting.

Hadn't played it for 2 or 3 years so tackling it once again.

I love it because it's so SIMPLE! It's easy to play yet difficult to master. One of those "deals" ;)

But also it meshes well with my trading day because it is turn based, which means it will just sit and wait for you to do something forever without complaining (unlike Mrs. Warrior LMAO). You can just shut it down in the middle of a game and it auto-saves so the next time you pull it up you're right back where you left off.

I love it because you can simply drop it if you need to pay attention to something else (like trades). But also it's a great distraction while in a trade and not desiring to stare at an m1 chart all f'ing day long..

Very simple, rudimentary graphics yet loads of fun none-the-less.

It's called Slay - Here's an in-game screen shot of a very small map

The crisis in public morality - Robert Reich

By Robert B. Reich

Republicans have morality upside down. They're condemning gay marriage, abortion, access to contraception, and the wall separating church and state.
But the moral crisis in America isn't a breakdown in private morality. It's a breakdown in public morality. What Americans do in their bedrooms is their own business. What corporate executives and Wall Street financiers do in boardrooms and executive suites affects all of us.

We're living through a new Gilded Age of financial fraud and conflicts of interest; exorbitant pay to executives, traders, hedge-fund and private-equity managers; tax loopholes that allow them to pay a lower rate than many middle-class Americans; and legalized bribery of public officials through unlimited campaign "donations."

Greg Smith, the former Goldman Sachs vice president who created a furor with a stinging public rebuke of the firm for putting its own profits before the interests of its clients, would have seen the same practices anywhere on the Street.

The problem isn't excessive greed. If you took the greed out of Wall Street, all you'd have left is pavement. The problem is endemic abuse of power and trust.

Political scientist James Q. Wilson, who died a few weeks ago, noted that a broken window left unattended signals that no one cares if windows are broken. It becomes an ongoing invitation to throw more stones at more windows, ultimately undermining moral standards of the entire community.

The windows Wall Street broke in the years leading up to the crash of 2008 remain broken. Despite financial fraud on a scale not seen in this country for more than 80 years, not a single executive of a major Wall Street bank has been charged with a crime.

The new Dodd-Frank law that was supposed to stop Wall Street from a repeat performance is now so riddled with loopholes, courtesy of the Street's lobbyists, that it's almost a sham. Wall Street prevented the Glass-Steagall Act from being resurrected, and successfully fought against limits on the size of the largest banks.

And now money is flowing more freely than ever from giant corporations and Wall Street banks into the coffers of candidates for public office. The Supreme Court's shameful decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission opened the floodgates.

Americans are entitled to their own religious views about gay marriage, contraception, abortion and God. A society where one set of religious views is imposed on a large number of citizens who disagree with them is not a democracy. It's a theocracy.

But abuses of public trust such as we've witnessed on the Street and in the executive suites of our largest corporations are not matters of private morality. They're violations of public morality. They undermine the integrity of our economy and democracy. They're leading millions of Americans to conclude that the game is rigged.

Regressive Republicans have no problem hurling the epithets "shameful," "disgraceful" and "contemptible" at private moral decisions they disagree with. Rush Limbaugh calls a young woman a "slut" just for standing up for her beliefs about private morality.

Republicans have staked out the moral low ground. It's time for the rest of us to stake out the moral high ground and demand an end to the abuses of economic power and privilege that characterize this new Gilded Age.

Glass-Steagall should be resurrected. The biggest banks should be broken up. Taxes should be raised on exorbitant incomes. We need a constitutional amendment to overturn the travesty of Citizens United.

Twice before, reformers have saved capitalism from its own excesses by appealing to public morality and common sense. First in the early 1900s, when the captains of American industry had monopolized the economy into giant trusts, American politics had sunk into a swamp of patronage and corruption, and many factory jobs were unsafe -- entailing long hours of work at meager pay and often exploiting children. In response, we enacted antitrust, civil service reforms and labor protections.

And then again in the 1930s, after the stock market collapsed and a large portion of the American workforce was unemployed. Then, we regulated banks and insured deposits, cleaned up the stock market, and provided social insurance to the destitute.

It's time once again to save capitalism from its own excesses -- and to base a new era of reform on public morality and common sense.

Robert Reich, former U.S. Secretary of Labor, is professor of public policy at the University of California at Berkeley and the author of "Aftershock: The Next Economy and America's Future." He blogs at www.robertreich.org.

Desire

---

You know, if you have the desire to conquer something and you love and cherish the pursuit of that goal you will not fail..

Be that computer programming, Wall St "finance", farming, janitorial work, trading, prostitution or eating a lot of fattening foods..

That part is entirely up to you to choose. Where your passions might lie.

Sure a college education makes it easier in most cases (I just got lucky I guess when I sold "myself" lol). But look at the cost. Look at the whole structure of the system.

Government has been pimping college education to the "dumbed down public" at large for decades. Creating another vestige of the "American Dream". Meet SallieMae I guess we are to "assume" it's in much better shape than Freddie and Fannie?

Business, big business, corporations, play the game as well. They most often "require" a college education. Why?

Would you rather have an employee who exhibits real passion about what they do or one who is bored and looking for a paycheck, though "adequately" educated?

From The Case Against College Education (on Time.com)

"It is absurd that people have to get college degrees to be considered for good jobs in hotel management or accounting — or journalism. It is inefficient, both because it wastes a lot of money and because it locks people who would have done good work out of some jobs. The tight connection between college degrees and economic success may be a nearly unquestioned part of our social order. Future generations may look back and shudder at the cruelty of it."

Islam4theWorld

---
There is only ONE God.. We are not so different, any of us..

From Islam4theWorld
---

Muslims believe in all Rusul (Messengers) that Allah (God) had sent for the guidance of mankind. These Rusul (Messengers) were sent to different places at different times. All of these Rusul (Messengers) had brought the same Message of Allah (God).

Each Rasul (Messenger) faithfully delivered the Message of Allah (God) to his people and presented a perfect way of life as example. These Rusul (Messengers) invited people to the path of Allah (God).

People altered and modified the Messages of Allah (God) for their own benefits and whenever it happened, Allah (God) sent His Message over through another Rasul (Messenger).

All Rusul (Messengers) performed the same job of delivering Messages of Allah (God) to mankind. Muslims respect all Rusul (Messengers) of Allah (God) equally and do not consider any Rasul (Messenger) better or superior than others. Muslims also believe that all Rusul (Messengers) were normal human beings, who were picked-up by Allah (God) at various ages of their lives for this responsibility. Allah (God) gave special powers of performing miracles to some of His Rusul (Messengers).

The first Rasul (Messenger) of Allah (God) was Adam A (Adam) and the last one was Muhammad S. Although, most of the Rusul (Messengers) from the three major religions Islam, Christianity and Judaism were from Middle Eastern origins; Allah (God) had sent His Rusul (Messengers) to each and every part of the world.

Names of twenty-five Rusul (Messengers) of Allah (God) are mentioned in the Qur-an. Twenty-one of these Rusul (Messengers) are also mentioned in the Bible:

Adam A (Adam)
Idris A (Enoch)
Nuh A (Noah)
Hud A
Salih A
Ibrahim A (Abraham)
Lut A (Lot)
Isma’il A (Ishmael)
Ishaq A (Isaac)
Musa A (Moses)
Harun A (Aaron)
Dawud A (David)
Dhul-Kifl A (Ezekiel)
Sulayman A (Solomon)
Ilyas A (Elijah)
Al-Yasa’ A (Elisha)
Yunus A (Jonah)
Ya’qub A (Jacob)
Yusuf A (Joseph)
Shu’ayb A
Ayyub A (Job)
Zakariyya A (Zechariah)
Yahya A (John)
‘Isa A (Jesus)
Muhammad S

Believing in all of Allah (God)’s Rusul (Messengers) is a part of the basic Iman (Belief) of Muslims.

While Muslims believe in all the Rusul (Messengers), they do not believe in the existing texts of the Messages brought by them, because that was deliberately changed by their followers to suit them.

Muslims also believe that Muhammad S was the last Rasul (Messenger) of Allah (God), and He would not send any more Messages or Messengers to mankind. The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S delivered the Qur-an, the final version of the Message of Allah (God). Allah (God) has promised to protect it till the end of the world.

Muslims believe that the life of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S is a perfect example of leading one’s life strictly according to the Commandments of Allah (God). Detailed life-sketches of Rusul (Messengers) of other religions are not available.
Complete details are only available on all aspects of the life of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S. His life was like an open book where each and every detail was available.

Muhammad S taught what Allah (God) taught him, a way of life that pleases Allah (God). Though Muhammad S lived fourteen millenniums ago, those fundamental principles remain the same for ever.

Say: "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor do I tell you I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me." Say: "Can the blind be held equal to the seeing?" Will you then consider not?
Surah (Chapter) Al-An’am (The Cattle) The Qur-an 6:50

The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S lived his life according to the Islamic principles and Allah (God) has commanded Muslims to follow him.

He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad S), has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then We have not sent you (O Muhammad S) as a watcher over them.
Surah (Chapter) An-Nisa” (The Woman) The Qur-an 4:80

The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S commands ultimate respect from Muslims.

And the LORD our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day.

Deuteronomy 10:12

Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God.

Deuteronomy 17:19
He must always keep that copy with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the LORD his God by obeying all the terms of these instructions and decrees.

Deuteronomy 31:13
Do this so that your children who have not known these instructions will hear them and will learn to fear the LORD your God. Do this as long as you live in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy.”

Dear CFTC Staff,

Hello, I am a current JPMorgan Chase employee. This is an open letter to all commissioners and regulators. I am emailing you today b/c I know of insider information that will be damning at best for JPMorgan Chase. I have decided to play the role of whistleblower b/c I no longer have faith and belief that what we are doing for society is bringing value to people. I am now under the opinion that we are actually putting hard working Americans unaware of what lays ahead at extreme market risk. This risk is unnecessary and will lead to wide-scale market collapse if not handled properly. With the release of Mr. Smith’s open letter to Goldman, I too would like to set the record straight for JPM as well. I have seen the disruptive behavior of superiors and no longer can say that I look up to employees at the ED/MD level here at JPM. Their smug exuberance and arrogance permeates the air just as pungently as rotting vegetables. They all know too well of the backdoor crony connections they share intimately with elected officials and with other institutions. It is apparent in everything they do, from the meager attempts to manipulate LIBOR, therefore controlling how almost all derivatives are priced to the inherit and fraudulent commodities manipulation. They too may have one day stood for something in the past in the client-employee relationship. Does anyone in today’s market really care about the protection of their client? From the ruthless and scandalous treatment of MF Global client asset funds to the excessive bonuses paid by companies with burgeoning liabilities. Yes, we at JPMorgan that are in the know are fearful of a cascading credit event being triggered in Greece as they have hidden derivatives in excess of $1 Trillion USD. We at JPMorgan own enough of these through counterparty risk and outright prop trading that our entire IB EDG space could be annihilated within a few short days. The last ten years has been market by inflexion point after inflexion point with the most notable coming in 2008 after the acquisition of Bear.

Apocalipsis – Expansión (Music and Film on the Capitalist Model of Consumption and Fear)

---

Same old shiite forever!

Capitalism (as we have always known it) is already gone now..

It's past time for real change..

It's past time for revolution..

#Elite "stuff" you should know

---

i want to begin this post with a WikiPedia link to Military Keynesianism

---Excerpted from it..

Military Keynesianism is the accusation that John Maynard Keynes advocated government economic policy in which the government devotes large amounts of spending to the military in an effort to increase economic growth.[1] In fact, Keynes advocated that government spending be used to "in the interests of peace and prosperity" instead of "war and destruction".[2] An example of such policies are the Public Works Administration in the 1930s in the United States.

and.. (Think the "economics" of military spending and ignore the "if we don't spend it we will all DIE!" crowd for a bit..)

On the demand side, increased military demand for goods and services is generated directly by government spending. Secondly, this direct spending induces a multiplier effect of general consumer spending. These two effects are directly in line with general Keynesian economic doctrine. (ie; economic stimulus)

---

And here you can find a treasury of information concerning World Military Spending (on Global Issues)

including..

"Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes … known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.… No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare."

— James Madison, Political Observations, 1795

Global military expenditure stands at over $1.6 trillion in annual expenditure at current prices for 2010 (or $1.56 trillion dollars at constant 2009 prices), and has been rising in recent years.

---

This is a large, and somewhat complex, issue to tackle so I'm going to settle for just throwing information at you..

Why is the Most Wasteful Government Agency Not Part of the Deficit Discussion?
Republicans ignore incompetence, bloat and corruption at the Pentagon

by David Morris

---

Granted this post is about one specific issue, military spending. However it represents the "control" the government has as the entity in control not only of taxpayer dollars but also deficit spending / borrowing that never decreases but only increases.

Just multiple this effect throughout government and you begin to see the "big picture" that everything we see is somehow manipulated by government spending priorities and or Federal Reserve Banking "issues" or the lobbyists of multinational corporations.

Those entities seem to think, at this point in American history, that they have the ability to manipulate all that is economic endlessly (and, at least so far, they have been proven correct).

Take a look at this webpage which ranks the United States manufacturing industry.. (Sortable and really cool)

As one might expect the list is filled with..

Petroleum & Coal Products (The oil economy)

Motor Vehicles (GM and company)

Aerospace & Defense (The war economy)

Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Tobacco (Some of the things we enjoy "manufacturing")

In my opinion many, if not most, of these industries can be and indeed are frequently manipulated by government via policy / regulation.

This IS crony capitalism.

People need to understand that every aspect of their lives is ALREADY being micro-managed by government (taxes, regulation, policy), the Federal Reserve Bank (who decides how much, or how little, your dollars are worth) and multinational corporations (who control our food, our access to medication, our cost for services).

We, the people, lost our voice and ability to participate in the system, long ago..

Ron Paul Gets No Respect - NewsMax #RonPaul

Ron Paul Gets No Respect - NewsMax <-- source
Tuesday, 13 Mar 2012 06:31 PM
By Doug Wead

Ron Paul supporters are used to getting shortchanged by the media.

Take the debates for example. In one of the South Carolina debates, Paul was given only 89 seconds by CBS to speak — out of an entire hour.

Ron Paul addresses what appears to be many more than 40 people. Paul had just come in second in the New Hampshire primary and was leading all other contenders, including President Barack Obama among independents.

In another debate, NBC gave Brian Williams as much time to speak as Paul. NBC’s own poll showed Paul tied with Mitt Romney as leading the pack in a head-to-head contest with Obama.

There are reasons why the pundits and the mainstream media exclude Paul. He is taking on the establishment. He is seeking to reform the monetary system, including changes that would make the Federal Reserve more transparent.

He wants us all to know how much money they are "printing" and to whom it is given.

Sounds reasonable.

A partial audit Paul obtained in 2008 showed trillions of new dollars being loaned out — interest free — to banks and major corporations, including corporations that own companies, that own companies, that own television networks.

It also showed money being loaned to companies that advertise on those networks — but mostly to banks that loan the money that allow those big companies to make their dreams come true.

Whatever happened to "in the interest of full disclosure?" The network talking heads trudge on, never saying a word about the fact that the news they are reporting is impacting their own companies and their own careers.

Of course, there is nothing conspiratorial about most journalists. They follow the herd, running when the herd runs and relaxing when the herd stops.

God help the poor journalist that strays too far from the pack. His or her greatest fear is not to be wrong about a story, but rather, to be different.

Paul supporters come via the internet. That's why so many are young. They don't watch television news. They do their own research.

Paul doesn't convert them. The facts do. They simply match up the facts to the candidates. Many are even shocked to find that the old man has it right.

Some are Democrats and independents surprised to find they agree with a Republican. And they are loyal because they have experienced the pride of authorship, the pride of self-discovery.

So here is another little story for the Ronulans. something to add to the collection:

According to an Associated Press report that was published by the Chicago Tribune and carried worldwide by the wire service, "about 40 people lined up to enter the Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville (Michigan) where Paul was speaking Sunday afternoon."

The AP claimed in its story that the report originated in the Detroit News, but I couldn't find it there.

The campaign called AP and asked for a correction based on the fact that there were not 40 people there. There were more than 2,000 people at the event.

AP refused.

Fortunately, Adam de Angeli, Paul’s Michigan State Director, had photos — or corroborating evidence as the case may be.

Maybe we should print T-shirts that say, "I was one of the 40 at Hudsonville."

If everybody buys one who attended the event, we might be able to convince AP to run a correction.

Isaiah 5 - #God knows

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, & good evil; that put darkness 4 light, & light 4 darkness; that put bitter 4 sweet, & sweet 4 bitter!

---

Isaiah 5

Isa 5:1 ¶ Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

Isa 5:2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

Isa 5:3 ¶ And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

Isa 5:4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?

Isa 5:5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; [and] break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:

Isa 5:6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

Isa 5:7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts [is] the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

Isa 5:8 ¶ Woe unto them that join house to house, [that] lay field to field, till [there be] no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!

Isa 5:9 In mine ears [said] the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, [even] great and fair, without inhabitant.

Isa 5:10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.

Isa 5:11 ¶ Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, [that] they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, [till] wine inflame them!

Isa 5:12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.

Isa 5:13 ¶ Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge: and their honourable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

Isa 5:14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

Isa 5:15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:

Isa 5:16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

Isa 5:17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.

Isa 5:18 ¶ Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:

Isa 5:19 That say, Let him make speed, [and] hasten his work, that we may see [it]: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know [it]!

Isa 5:20 ¶ Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isa 5:21 ¶ Woe unto [them that are] wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Isa 5:22 ¶ Woe unto [them that are] mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:

Isa 5:23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

Isa 5:24 ¶ Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, [so] their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Isa 5:25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases [were] torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.

Isa 5:26 ¶ And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:

Isa 5:27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:

Isa 5:28 Whose arrows [are] sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:

Isa 5:29 Their roaring [shall be] like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry [it] away safe, and none shall deliver [it].

Isa 5:30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if [one] look unto the land, behold darkness [and] sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

ECB Weidmann: Not Up To Mon Policy To Keep Ailing Banks Alive <-- source

FRANKFURT (MNI) – It is not the job of monetary authorities to keep
ailing banks on artificial life support, European Central Bank Governing
Council member Jens Weidmann said in an opinion piece to be published in
Tuesday’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

The comments highlight Weidmann’s concern about the ECB’s generous
liquidity supply, provided against what he considers insufficient
collateral. The editorial is Weidmann’s first public statement on the
issue since a leaked letter from him to ECB President Mario Draghi
caused a major stir.

In his letter to Draghi, Weidmann urged that the loosening of
collateral rules in ECB refinancing operations be reversed, and he
proposed to study whether the ECB could limit Target 2 risks by making
countries pledge assets as collateral to the ECB.

But in his editorial, portions of which were pre-released by the
newspaper, Weidmann said the Target 2 imbalances do not pose an
independent risk, “because I consider a break-up of the currency union
absurd.”

Since the start of the crisis, Bundesbank claims from the
Eurozone’s cross-border payment system, Target 2, have risen to nearly
E550 billion, making it the largest item on its balance sheet. The
Bundesbank would only face a real risk of losing the money if the
Eurozone were to break-up.

Nevertheless, it is not the job of monetary policy to keep weak
banks artificially alive, Weidmann said. “Decisions over the
redistribution of larger solvency risks can only be taken by elected
governments and parliaments,” he added.

Monetary policy support measures must therefore be limited and
temporary and they must not be an excuse to postpone necessary reforms,
Weidmann demanded.

Bundesbank Vice-President Sabine Lautenschlaeger warned Monday that
the ECB’s policies may indeed be doing just that. “There are some banks
that would have trouble refinancing even in calm times because there are
doubts over the viability of their business models,” she said.

Rather than keeping such banks alive via monetary policy and
sharing the risks among all Eurozone members via the Eurosystem, it
should be the job of national fiscal authorities to recapitalize or
close down such institutions, the Bundesbank has argued previously.

The Eurotower appears to oppose any form of collateralization of
imbalances that have built up within the Eurozone’s cross-border payment
system. “Anything happening in Target 2 is only a symptom of or
reflection of what is happening in the European economy. We have to
address the roots, not the symptoms,” Executive Board member Benoit
Coeure said in a recent interview.

Weidmann also did not appear to be any more successful in pushing
for the reversal of loose collateral rules. Draghi made clear on
Thursday that no policy reversal is on the agenda in the near term,
noting that the Governing Council had not discussed the option.
The Bundesbank is due to present its annual results on Tuesday and
is expected to report a sharp drop in the profits it will release to the
German government, to E700 million in 2011 from E2.2 billion in the
previous year. The decline is due largely to an increase in provisions
against risks on its balance sheet.

We Are Entering The Cataclysmic Stage Of The Fake Wealth Era

Frequent contributor Zeus Y. explains how the financial system creates fake "wealth" from nothing and why the entire delusional scheme is imploding.

"Only God can create… value out of nothing"—Justice Martin V. Mahoney in First National Bank of Montgomery vs. Jerome Daly.

"(I’m) doing God’s work." – Goldman Sachs CEO, Lloyd Blankfein

Introduction:
What is fraud except creating “value” from nothing and passing it off as something? Frauds interlink and grow upon each other. Our debt-based money system serves as the fraud foundation. In our debt-based money system, debt must grow in order to create money. Therefore, there is no way to pay off aggregate debt with available money. More money must be lent into the system to make the payments for old debts. This causes overall debt to expand as new money for actual people (vs. banks) always arrives at interest and compounds exponentially. This process is called financialization.

I bought some books today.. But now I'm scared

---

We hit the flea market today as we are oft want to do.. ;)

I got stuck the whole time we were there in one booth full of books on sale at 50% off..

I bought..

Prophecy - What lies ahead? Oswald J. Smith first edition 1943

The meaning and message of the book of Revelation Edward A. McDowell Copyright 1951

The revelation of Jesus Christ John F. Walvoord Copyright 1966

Islam Edited by John Alden Williams Copyright 1961

They were (religious books) all priced at $4.00 each and the 50% off dropped that to TWO bucks apiece.. Which I like..

Now those sort of books are extremely interesting to me due to all the historical fact buried within them as well as their romantic mystery on matters of long ago..

I can't get enough of that crap myself LMAO

However a "hobby" is a hobby right? If I happen to enjoy religious history it shouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think. Would you?

But then weird shiite began seeping into my brain..

I thought good Lord, what if, somehow, someone happened to think it was a suspicious selection of reading material / activity and make a phone call to the FBI or DHS?

Remember???

If you see something, say something

Factors such as race, ethnicity, national origin, or religious affiliation alone are not suspicious. For that reason, the public should report only suspicious behavior and situations (e.g., an unattended backpack in a public place or someone trying to break into a restricted area) rather than beliefs, thoughts, ideas, expressions, associations, or speech unrelated to terrorism or other criminal activity. Only reports that document behavior reasonably indicative of criminal activity related to terrorism will be shared with federal partners.

That doesn't sound "too bad" I guess.. Maybe someone can find a "touch of liberty" in it..

I wonder what the FBI defines as "suspicious behavior"?

For one I found this on my first look and I'm going to allow it to suffice as I don't want this post to be ridiculously long..

Christian domestic terrorists: In 1999-OCT, the FBI announced the completion of the Megiddo Project - an intensive study of the potential for domestic terrorism in the new Millennium. A portion of the report's introduction deals with religiously motivated terrorists: 3 It is quoted below:
Interpretations of the Bible:
"Religiously based domestic terrorists use the New Testaments Book of Revelation -- the prophecy of the endtime -- for the foundation of their belief in the Apocalypse. Religious extremists interpret the symbolism portrayed in the Book of Revelation and mold it to predict that the endtime is now and that the Apocalypse is near. To understand many religious extremists, it is crucial to know the origin of the Book of Revelation and the meanings of its words, numbers and characters."

The Book of Revelation was written by a man named "John" who was exiled by the Roman government to a penal colony - the island of Patmos - because of his beliefs in Christ. 4 While on the island, he experienced a series of visions, described in the Book of Revelation. The writing in the Book of Revelation is addressed to churches who were at the time experiencing or were threatened by persecution from Rome because they were not following the government. For this reason, some believe the Book of Revelation was written in code language, much of which was taken from other parts of the Bible.

"One interpretation describing the essence of the message contained in Revelation is that God will overcome Christianity's enemies (Roman Government/Satan) and that the persecuted communities should persevere. 5 For right-wing groups who believe they are being persecuted by the satanic government of the United States, the Book of Revelation's message fits perfectly into their world view. This world view, in combination with a literal interpretation of the Book of Revelation, is reflected in extremist ideology, violent acts, and literature. For this reason, it is imperative to know the meaning of some of the 'code words' frequently used:
Four (4) signifies the world.
Six (6) signifies imperfection.
Seven (7) is the totality of perfection or fullness and completeness.
Twelve (12) represents the twelve tribes of Israel or the 12 apostles.
One-thousand (1000) signifies immensity.
The color white symbolizes power and can also represent victory, joy and resurrection.
The color red symbolizes a bloody war.
The color black symbolizes famine.
A rider on a pale green horse is a symbol of Death itself.
'Babylon' is the satanic Roman Government, now used to describe the U.S. government." 6
"Black Hebrew Israelites, a black supremacist group, typify the use of numerology from the Book of Revelation. They believe group members will comprise the 144,000 people who are saved by God in the second coming that is outlined in Revelation (7:1-17). In the Book of Revelation, John is shown a vision of 144,000 martyrs who have survived and did not submit to Satan. This number is derived from the assertion that the twelve tribes of Israel consisted of 12,000 people each."

"Groups not only use the Bible to interpret the endtimes, but use it to justify their ideology. Phineas Priests, an amorphous group of Christian Identity adherents, base their entire ideology on Chapter 25 of the Book of Numbers. The passage depicts a scene where Phineas kills an Israelite who was having relations with a Midianite woman and God then granted Phineas and all of his descendants a pledge of everlasting priesthood. Modern day followers of the Phineas Priest ideology believe themselves to be the linear descendants of Phineas and this passage gives them biblical justification to punish those who transgress God's laws. Therefore, the group is ardently opposed to race mixing and strongly believes in racial separation. The number 25 is often used as a symbol of the group."

Apocalyptic Religious Beliefs:
"To understand the mind set of why religious extremists would actively seek to engage in violent confrontations with law enforcement, the most common extremist ideologies must be understood. Under these ideologies, many extremists view themselves as religious martyrs who have a duty to initiate or take part in the coming battles against Satan. Domestic terrorist groups who place religious significance on the millennium believe the federal government will act as an arm of Satan in the final battle. By extension, the FBI is viewed as acting on Satan's behalf."
"The philosophy behind targeting the federal government or entities perceived to be associated with it is succinctly described by Kerry Noble, a former right-wing extremist. He says the right-wing "envision[s] a dark and gloomy endtime scenario, where some Antichrist makes war against Christians." 7 The House of Yahweh, a Texas based religious group whose leaders are former members of the tax protesting Posse Comitatus, is typical: [Yisrayl] Hawkins (the leader) has interpreted biblical scripture that the Israeli Peace Accord signed on October 13, 1993, has started a 7-year period of tribulation which will end on October 14, 2000, with the return of the Yeshua (the Messiah). 8 He also has interpreted that the FBI will be the downfall of the House of Yahweh and that the Waco Branch Davidian raids in 1993 were a warning to The House of Yahweh from the federal government, which he terms 'the beast.' 9 Similarly, Richard Butler, leader of the white supremacist group Aryan Nations, said the following when asked what might have motivated the day care shooting by Buford O. Furrow, Jr., one of his group's followers: "There's a war against the white race. There's a war of extermination against the white male." 10

Conclusions:

The Book of Revelation appears to be ambiguous, and open to many interpretations. This severely weakens the concept of biblical inerrancy and the belief that God inspired the authors of the Bible to write books free of error and ambiguity.

Unfortunately, as in so many other important Christian beliefs there is no way to harmonize the diversity of Christian belief. Even within the evangelical wing of Christianity there are many conflicting opinions about fundamental beliefs. Some suggest that believers can pray to God to seek the correct interpretation from among the beliefs that have been suggested. Unfortunately, a pilot study that we performed appears to show that a person cannot assess the will of God through prayer.

Some interpretations of Revelation have led writers to prophesy catastrophic events in their own future. Fortunately none of their predictions have ever come true. We will have to wait to see in the prophecies about our future will materialize -- particularly those involving the winter solstice in 2012. But with a 100% failure rate to date, it is difficult to place much confidence about prophecies of events in our future.

---

That covers three of the books I bought right there.. Two are specifically about the book of Revelation and the other on biblical prophecy in a more general sense..

I'm not even going to bother googling Islam and terrorism! LMAO

Hell what if someone simply reading this post considers my personal preference in reading material somewhat "suspicious"?

You know.. I'm 55 years old and I know for a fact that at one time in this country we at least had some semblance of freedom and liberty..

Jesus help us all, meaning humanity..

Every day now I become more and more convinced that we are quickly devolving into a police state..

Student Loan Delinquencies Are Worse Than You Think -Bloomberg #Debt #Slaves

Students may be struggling with debt more than we knew, according to a team of five researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. They explain that borrowers were late on $85 billion in student loans in the third quarter of 2011, which at face value is about 10 percent of the $870 billion in total outstanding student debt. While that rate is more or less in line with other forms of consumer debt like credit cards and mortgages, it is also “understated,” the team says, because not all student loans can be delinquent.

Specifically, unlike those other forms of consumer debt, students don’t have to pay back school loans immediately. They get a break while they’re in school and in the six months after graduating. Almost half of student debt is in those approved grace periods, dragging down the overall delinquency rate because they add to the total balance but not the amounts past due. Once researchers exclude those loans to more accurately reflect the pool of borrowers who can actually be late, the delinquency rate more than doubled. In the end, 27 percent of the remaining borrowers were late on their payments, totaling about 21 percent of the aggregate loan balance.

That’s a bleaker picture, with borrowers about twice as likely to be behind on student debt as for credit cards, car loans, and mortgages. The report doesn’t compare the delinquency rate to previous periods, though it does say the total amount of student debt increased 2.1 percent between the second and third quarters of 2011—a time when other forms of consumer debt decreased. The average balance for student-loan holders is $23,300, the New York Fed says.

The researchers say student borrowers particularly struggle to repay their debt because many of them are recent college graduates, who are more likely to be unemployed or earn less than older borrowers. Pay for college grads is sharply down over the past decade, according to an upcoming study by the the Economic Policy Institute. The Wall Street Journal reports that the study found male college graduates aged 23 to 29 earned an average of $21.68 an hour last year, down 11 percent over the past decade after accounting for inflation. Pay for female college graduates fell less, though it was still down 7.6 percent; on average those women earned just $18.80 an hour.

If the paychecks of new grads continue to shrink, it could be even harder for borrowers to repay. And with delinquencies come debt collectors, something the government wants to monitor closely. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says it is taking a close look at the private student loan industry and on March 5 began encouraging borrowers to send complaints its way.

I love "what ifs"

Here's the "deal"..

According to a Southern Poverty Law Center report.. As Election Season Heats Up, Extremist Groups at Record Levels

"The American radical right grew explosively in 2011, a third consecutive year of extraordinary growth that has swelled the ranks of extremist groups to record levels, according to a report issued today by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). The rise was led by a stunning expansion of the antigovernment “Patriot” movement."

"..the dramatic growth came in the Patriot movement, which is composed of armed militias and other conspiracy-minded organizations that see the federal government as their primary enemy. These groups saw their numbers skyrocket for the third straight year in 2011, this time by 55 percent - from 824 in 2010 to 1,274 groups last year. In 2008, just before the Patriot movement took off, there were 149 Patriot groups, a number that metastasized to 512 in 2009"

"With the recent growth of the radical right has come what most experts agree is a rash of domestic terrorism, much of it aimed at President Obama and other authorities. In the last year, several examples have cropped up. In Michigan, members of the Hutaree Militia are currently on trial for planning to murder a police officer and then attack the funeral with homemade bombs in an effort to spark a war against the government. In Georgia, four militia members are facing charges of conspiring to bomb federal buildings and attack cities with the deadly ricin toxin. And four members of the Alaska Peacemakers Militia are accused of planning to murder judges and law enforcement officials as part of a plan to overthrow the federal government."

"The FBI considers the sovereign movement dangerous enough that it issued a special bulletin to law enforcement officials last September describing it as “domestic terrorist”"

---

So yeah.. people are f'ing pissed off.. DUH!

However.. if we take these "reports" seriously where might that lead us?

"Hate groups" are “domestic terrorists” who plan to "spark a war against the government" and/or "overthrow the federal government"

(See: enemy combatant / unlawful combatant "In the United States, the Military Commissions Act of 2006 codified the legal definition of this term and invested the U.S. President with broad discretion to determine whether a person may be designated an unlawful enemy combatant under United States law.")

Crap like those below certainly don't make American citizens more at ease with the apparent plans of their own government..

(Also One of the provisions included in the 2012 NDAA is one that allows for American citizens "suspected of" terrorism to be indefinitely detained in military custody without charge or trial.)

Now, with that as a bit of a foreword, lets look at Syria..

John McCain (who also strongly supported 2012 NDAA) says.. "How many additional civilian lives would have to be lost in order to convince you that the military measures of this kind that we are proposing are necessary to end the killing?" asked Republican Senator John McCain, who has urged air strikes on Syria. "How many more have to die? Ten thousand more? Twenty thousand more?"

---

I often wonder out loud on twitter, how many more Muslim civilians must die before the United States of America, or perhaps another country, decides it is necessary to "end the killing?"

"How many more have to die? Ten thousand more? Twenty thousand more?" (Before WE stop the killing in the Middle East? Is the question I often ask of our own "leaders" (Not that they ever respond to the likes of me LMAO)

"Obama has urged Assad to halt the violence against his people and step aside to allow a democratic transition."

So, we have American "officials" calling Assad a "reformer" while at the same time labeling the American Patriot movement "Domestic Terrorists!?"

Clinton calls Syrian tyrant a ‘reformer' despite Assad's bloody record

Now Syria, and Assad, say what about their own rebels, protesters, seekers of democracy?

Faysal Mekdad, told reporters the bombings are proof of the government's longtime claims that terrorists are behind much of the violence linked to opposition protests.

"All who stand behind these criminals in Syria and defend and support these crimes are considered responsible for the terrorist acts," he said.

The Syrian government has defended its harsh crackdown on pro-democracy protesters by saying it is fighting "armed terrorists".

Now my question all along has been.. "When / if real violence breaks out in the good old US of A what might be the response of our own government?"

We have already witnessed the smearing of the Tea Party in this country, by politicians and media, as being "racists", "Nazis" and yes, even "terrorists"..

PROOF the TEABAGGERS are RACIST, VIOLENT, and DISGUSTING

We have also witnessed the use of, near military, force against dissenters as part of the OWS movement..

US ‘unreasonably cruel’ in OWS crackdown

CIA won’t disclose involvement in OWS crackdowns

My point in all this is that yes so-called "hate groups" (possibly anyone who disagrees with government or Federal Reserve Bank policys) are more prevalent than ever. That's because more people are plain old pissed off about "the way things are". A corrupt political system, a corrupt Central bank, a corrupt financial sector, corrupt multinational corporations and only ever increasing amounts of bullshit piled on the backs of the people.

So, personally, I believe things will continue to escalate to the point where violence WILL occur.

Perhaps triggered by a total economic collapse, the implementation of martial law, the outbreak of yet another middle eastern war, harsh austerity, whatever..

(Don't get me wrong here.. I do not plan on participating in violence and I do not and will not condone violence. By any party).

However, unfortunately, there are people in the United States of America who possibly, I say likely, will, in the event of some catastrophic societal upheaval, commit violent acts against the "system", the "status quo". In my humble opinion a violent revolution is a possibility.

It doesn't seem nearly as stupid if you look at it in a historical manner.. (The beginning of the Civil War)

Should this happen what would be the response of our own government?

Anyone in this country who plans and/or commits a violent act against the United States government will legally be considered a "terrorist" and now legally "indefinitely detained". I assume exactly what Assad is currently doing in Syria.

We already have a precedence set for military assassination of an American citizen as directed, and subsequently defended, by the highest offices of the United States.

Attorney general defends presidential assassinations of US citizens

Should this "thing" somehow become a revolutionary revolution of some sort.. Should a particular city state prove itself dangerous to the status quo in a violent manner then I suggest the situation in the United States could end up every bit as chaotic as the current situation in Syria. (Again.. this is based on historical observation, not wild conspiracy theories).

What if the demands of these revolutionary terrorists include the relinquishing of power by the status quo? What if the demands required the current government to hand over power to a new government? One selected by the people of the United States.

You can laugh all you want about the possibility of United States military action to control the population..

USA #1? 40 Embarrassing Things That America Is The Best In The World At

---

Is the USA still #1? Well, there are many things that America is still the best in the world at, but unfortunately a lot of those categories are nothing to be proud of. Once upon a time the United States was the greatest nation on earth, but now we are a nation that is in a horrific state of decline. Just consider a few of the embarrassing things that America leads the world in: obesity, crime, divorce, teen pregnancy, child abuse deaths and government debt. The statistics that you are about to read below are incredibly disturbing. Most people that write these kinds of articles about the decline of America hate this country. But that is not the case with me. I was born and raised in America and I love this nation deeply. It is time to realize that we will never be able to start fixing our problems until we take a really good look in the mirror and realize just how far we have fallen. America is not the country that it once was. America is a complete and total mess and just "tweaking" a few things here and there is not going to return this nation to its former glory. We have forgotten the things that once made us great, and if we do not return to them we will continue to fall apart as a nation.

With that being said, the following are 40 embarrassing things that America is the best in the world at....
